Nine months ago, I noticed the face of a little girl, peering out through the nipa hut window, watching the activities of our feeding station ministry. As we tried several times to talk with her, she would retreat inside the window. Our feeding station nurse, Cora, informed us of her condition.
Christina had tuberculosis, often with a high fever, and was constantly in severe pain. She could not walk and would sit for hours and watch the other children running and playing. Her condition was so bad, she would cry if you tried to touch her...
When my wife and I were granted permission by Christina's mother to visit, we found a little girl and a family without hope. After prayer and some basic instructions for her care, we left her in God's hands and to be monitored weekly by Cora.
But God!!
With the ongoing support of the feeding program, prayer, and the donation of medicines, we have seen the miraculous touch of God on this child's life.
Cora writes, "After several days, I began to notice changes in her. The little girl that used to be so scared of people is now beginning to explore, mingle, and play with the other kids. The girl that used to scream with pain, can now be heard laughing with the other children. The girl that used to confine herself in just one corner of her house, is now running around the feeding station with joy on her face and Jesus in her heart. She now regularly attends the Sunday School."
God is so good. Christina is a living testimony of God's love
